Residential

Beach House Renovation

This house functioned as a family beach house on the weekends for over 20 years.  The owners have retired and wanted to renovate this house to live in during the summer. The goal was to make it very comfortable for 2 people but also to accommodate the children and grandchild. The couple had many specific pieces of furniture  and storage requirements that needed to be designed into the home without increasing the home's foot print. A Septic application was also required to reallocate plumbing fixtures.

Heritage Garage/Sail Loft

A "Heritage Tree" fell on a "Heritage  Garage".

This project required a complete replacement of the existing Heritage Garage.  The requirements of this garage were that it reference the Heritage House thru style. It also needed to accommodate their sailboat, a workshop space and have a loft for storage.  This garage references "Arts and Craft Stick style' and is built to last.

Lake House:

This home was built in the 1990's and by 2015 it was tired and dated. The main living area has a view of Lake Erie . The original floor plan had a staircase that cut the first floor in half blocking Lake views.  The solution was to open and turn the staircase to allow light and flow to the floor.  The rear porches were enclosed and this added living area to the great room and master bedrooms above.   The exterior was originally clad in vinyl siding. We changed the cladding to Hardie Board and added interest to the fascade with color and textural changes. The results are spectacular!! The clients tell me so every time I see them.
